Valor K9 can be the source for information for
Veterans or First Responders with Service Dogs. From fine tuning a
service animal as your needs change, to referrals for veterinary care or
pet supplies, to aiding the Service Dog team with transportation – we
will do our best to honor your service and that of your Service Dog or
Emotional Support Dog with our time and expertise.
Requests can be anything from teaching a new skill
set to you and your dog, accompanying you on public outings or events
with your Service Dog, or even arranging safe play dates for your dog!
Your highly trained service animal is too valuable to entrust to just
anyone, we understand that. To the best of our ability, let us help you
with any concerns you have about owning and living with a Service Dog.
In the past, Valor K9 has been able to help in the
following areas: long term foster care for animals of deployed soldiers,
under special circumstances; transportation to Veterinary Specialists or
other “out of the norm” care and treatment of the Service Animal; safe
play dates for dog-friendly service animals, with Registered Therapy
Dogs or other Service Dogs; day trips to the lake, and other
“let-your-dog-be-a-dog” days; accompanied Veterans to stressful
events, or events new to them as a team; and help with skills such as
entering DART buses and rails, airplanes, elevators, or other
conditioning exercises.
